Description Ben Konrath 2014-11-28 09:40:25 UTC
It would be nice to see this package in the EPEL 7 repository.

Here is some information about EPEL:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Getting_a_Fedora_package_in_EPEL
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/GuidelinesAndPolicies

I managed to get nautilus-python-1.1-4.fc19.src.rpm to compile on EL7 so it should be easy to submit the build.

Here are the instructions I used to build this package locally in case anybody is interested:

* Download the src rpm

https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/nautilus-python/1.1/4.fc19/src/nautilus-python-1.1-4.fc19.src.rpm

* Install the build dependencies:

sudo yum-builddep nautilus-python-1.1-4.fc19.src.rpm

* Run the build:

rpmbuild --rebuild nautilus-python-1.1-4.fc19.src.rpm

* Install the rpms:

sudo yum localinstall ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/*.rpm

Thanks, Ben

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 2 Tuomo Soini 2016-05-23 09:08:37 UTC
This should be moved to epel7 bug. Housekeeper didn't read the bug report at all.

You can request EPEL7 branch by clicking button "Request new branch" on webpage https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/nautilus-python/

Comment 4 Raphael Groner 2016-07-13 10:23:50 UTC
nautilus-python is needed for nitroshare-nautilus. Please provide a package in epel7. I've request a new branch in PkgDB. Though I don't use nautilus by myself, it would be nice if someone else could maintain this new branch.

Comment 5 Paul Wouters 2016-07-13 10:33:05 UTC
I'm willing to review this package but it does need to be filed properly with the templates, see:

There's already a package in Fedora. Why need for another review?

Comment 7 Paul Wouters 2016-07-13 14:06:59 UTC
oh, i missed that, sorry. I see the epel7 branch is pending so I guess it will appear soon and it can be built then
