Description Valdis Kletnieks 2014-12-27 08:46:34 UTC
Description of problem:
Seeing lots of infinite loop hangs and crashes in ufraw, gdb consistently points here:

(gdb) where
#0  0x00007ffff6f83394 in _lf_delobj(void***, int) (var=var@entry=0x8c3ce0, idx=idx@entry=0)
    at /usr/src/debug/lensfun-0.3.0/libs/lensfun/auxfun.cpp:198
#1  0x00007ffff6f7a9e9 in lfLens::RemoveCalibDistortion(int) (this=this@entry=0x8c3ca0, idx=idx@entry=0)
    at /usr/src/debug/lensfun-0.3.0/libs/lensfun/lens.cpp:599
#2  0x000000000042f152 in UFRaw::Distortion::Event(UFEventType) (this=0x95ed10, type=<optimized out>) at ufraw_lensfun.cc:552
#3  0x0000000000426c79 in UFArray::Set(char const*) (that=0x95ed10, this=0x95ed30) at ufobject.cc:53

Quite consistent with the call to _lf_delobj() from ufraw for both infloop and crash variants.

It appears that ufraw was compiled against lensfun 0.2.8, but 0.3.0 has now been released - I'm suspecting the shared library isn't 100% API compatible. Reuilding ufraw from the .src.rpm made it start working (as it got linked against lensfun-devel 0.3.0.

Not sure who's really at fault here - ufraw for not being rebuilt, or lensraw for not bumping the .so version if they changed the API.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.
