And what seems to be the bug? The page

  https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/RegisteringClients

documents the fact that you need EPEL to register clients ...

Comment 2 Mohammed Arafa 2015-02-16 14:40:57 UTC
apologies
the bug being that you need the epel repo for just one package. some servers are behind firewalls and draconian security policies that cannot allow it to either add a new repo or get onto the internet.

my ask is to push to have this rpm package added to the base repo OR even better add it to the spacewalk-client repo.

Comment 3 Jan Pazdziora 2017-10-18 08:13:52 UTC
I assume this change is not going to be implemented. Therefore, proposing closing with NOTABUG.

Comment 4 Tomáš Kašpárek 2017-12-21 09:14:09 UTC
There's no way how we can push this into RHEL/CentOS/spacewalk-client repo and not being forced into taking ownership of the package, which is something we don't want to do.
