Fixed component. Hi schaefi, could you put here what does your ~/.cups/lpoptions has set for 'media' or 'PageSize' if anything? Does your /etc/cups/printers.conf has a row like 'Option PageSize ...' or 'Option media ...'? What is set in your /etc/cups/ppd/your-printer.ppd for 'DefaultPageSize'? (In reply to Marek Kašík from comment #2) > Hi schaefi, > > could you put here what does your ~/.cups/lpoptions has set for 'media' or > 'PageSize' if anything? Does your /etc/cups/printers.conf has a row like > 'Option PageSize ...' or 'Option media ...'? What is set in your > /etc/cups/ppd/your-printer.ppd for 'DefaultPageSize'? Hi Marek, ~/.cups/lpoptions is: Default Officejet_6700 PageSize=A4.FB /etc/cups/printers.conf is: # Printer configuration file for CUPS v1.7.5 # Written by cupsd on 2015-02-27 08:13 # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE WHEN CUPSD IS RUNNING <DefaultPrinter Officejet_6700> UUID urn:uuid:59e1217e-c0c5-355b-617e-d525a4d63e2e Info Officejet_6700 DeviceURI hp:/net/Officejet_6700?ip=192.168.1.201 State Idle StateTime 1425021114 Type 36892 Accepting Yes Shared Yes JobSheets none none QuotaPeriod 0 PageLimit 0 KLimit 0 OpPolicy default ErrorPolicy stop-printer </Printer> <Printer Officejet_6700_fax> UUID urn:uuid:94e9d86d-16fe-3ce6-5113-cc9fef2754e7 Info Officejet_6700_fax DeviceURI hpfax:/net/Officejet_6700?ip=192.168.1.201 State Idle StateTime 1423840818 Type 4108 Accepting Yes Shared Yes JobSheets none none QuotaPeriod 0 PageLimit 0 KLimit 0 OpPolicy default ErrorPolicy stop-printer </Printer> /etc/cups/ppd/Officejet_6700.ppd is: ... *DefaultPageSize: A4 ... I hope that helps. If you need further infos, please let me know. The problem here is that you have set the PageSize locally. When you change PageSize in Printers panel, the CUPS is asked to change default value to the value you've selected. It updates the value of the combo after that but since you have set the PageSize locally, it is set to that value (it has higher priority). Once you remove the setting of the option PageSize in the lpoption file it should work fine. This message is a reminder that Fedora 21 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 21. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '21'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 21 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. Fedora 21 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-12-01. Fedora 21 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. |
