Description of problem:
Update was installed via yum this morning: 
Apr 21 09:08:37 Updated: gretl-1.10.1-1.fc20.x86_64

Attempting to start gretl via menu: never starts.

Upon opening a terminal window this gretl update FAILS as follows: 
$ gretl 
Illegal instruction (core dumped) 
$ rpm -q gretl gretl-1.10.1-1.fc20.x86_64  


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.10.1-1.fc20.x86_64


How reproducible:
Easily


Steps to Reproduce:
1. run yum update gretl
2. attempt to open the program in gui or console


Actual results:
Illegal instruction (core dumped)

Expected results:
Gretl gui window opens (happens when downgrading to gretl-1.9.13-1.fc20.x86_64.

Additional info:
Linux [removed_hostname] 3.19.3-100.fc20.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Mar 27 16:53:47 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I just downgraded to gretl-1.10.0-1.fc20.x86_64 and it does not exhibit the illegal instruction error that 1.10.1 shows.

Hi,

sorry for the inconvenience. I reported it upstream, perhaps you could then help us out, if we need more information. Please be aware, that 1.10.0 had an error in the adf test. [2]

I am aware that there was a bug in 1.10.0. I have downgraded to 1.9.92 for the time being. Thanks and Cheers! I will test 1.10.1-2-fc20 (and fc21) this evening

This looks good now Johannes. I have successfully tested (not in depth though) gretl-1.10.1-2.fc20.x86_64.rpm. Thank you.

Package gretl-1.10.1-2.fc22:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 22 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing gretl-1.10.1-2.fc22'
as soon as you are able to.
