Description Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2015-05-18 10:22:33 UTC
Description of problem:
In bug #1182635 PRIVACY_POLICY_URL was added to /usr/lib/os-release. It provisionally pointed at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:PrivacyPolicy, but that page is not suitable for OS privacy policy.

We need something before F22 is released. I'm adding this bug to make it easier to track status.

spot has the ball for this, but AIUI we're still awaiting results of legal review for the new policy statement. I did reach out to the legal folks again to try to get the policy into place. It's intended to supersede the old policy at the same URL currently used in 1182635, <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:PrivacyPolicy>.

Is the new draft available somewhere?

Comment 3 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 19:08:51 UTC
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
