I have tested the hotfix over RHGS 3.0.4 and that works well.
I am not seeing any glusterd crash when running rebalance and 'gluster volume status' together

I am moving this bug to VERIFIED state

SATHEESARAN,
  I have asked the customers again. At least 2 have NOT applied the Hotfix, but have asked if this patch was included in the RHGS 3.1 GA
I believe 2 have applied the fix and not seen this issue reoccur.
I will update this BZ with any answers I receive.
