Description of problem:
I just tried a few .systems domains, and jwhois finds no matches.
It doesn't complain about it being an invalid TLD either.

Try https://github.com/jonasob/jwhois/blob/master/example/jwhois.conf as an
intermediate solution, that configuration file is nearly up-to-date.

Vitezslav, would you mind if I perform regulary jwhois.conf updates based on
my merge requests?

Well, I mean upstream jwhois merge requests. I try to update jwhois.conf
about every week or two.

* was pushed to the Fedora 21 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing jwhois-4.0-41.fc21'
as soon as you are able to.
