Description Jeff Fearn 🐞 2015-08-04 03:39:11 UTC
Description of problem:
This extension is old, poorly maintained and unused. It should be disabled and purged.

Comment 1 Jason McDonald 2015-08-04 04:32:08 UTC
We need to check the access logs first to make sure that it really is unused (or rarely used). If so, I have no objections to removing it.

Comment 2 Jason McDonald 2015-08-05 07:07:42 UTC
Analysis of Apache access logs for the period 1 October 2014 to 31 March 2015 shows a total of 17326 hits for browse.html. The hits came from 5923 unique IP addresses. 4097 of those users had only 1 or 2 hits, suggesting that a lot of users visit this page once to try it out and don't find it sufficiently useful to return.

Only 30 users averaged more than one visit per week, and the top three users had approximately 400 hits each. Two of the top three users appear to be automated.

Just type "product:$prodname" in to the search at the top of every BZ page. e.g. to view the Bugzilla list "product:bugzilla"
