Two customers facing this, only on Workstation. libipa_hbac-python was not updated in the base channel, but it was updated in the "Optional" channel. Base repo package: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/rhel---6/x86_64/208/libipa_hbac-python/1.12.4-47.el6_7.7/x86_64/fd431d51/package Optional repo package: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/rhel---6/x86_64/206/libipa_hbac-python/1.12.4-47.el6_7.8/x86_64/fd431d51/package This then causes a yum update to fail due to dependencies, since the rest of sssd in the base repo was updated to bugfix .8, while the -python package is at .7. We need to include the .8 bugfix for the -python package in the base repo. Maybe I'm missing something that they're different packages, but they look the same to me, and this is causing a problem where the customer cannot update their systems. Attaching those cases. *** Bug 1328900 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Just to clarify: The upgrade scenario(s) being blocked is: 1. Install official 6.7GA release. 2. Subscribe to 6.7.z channel 7 upgrade to z version. 3. Upgrade this to 6.8 (via rhn/cdn/yum repo). Step 2. is not working because of broken dependencies that yum tries to resolve as a multiarch. It was filled on sssd probably because it was not clear why got the package libipa_hbac-python.x86_64 moved to optional and whether there was some deliberate change in packaging/dependencies. Just checked the pulp repositories and all looks fine. The 6_7.8 is available. -bash-4.1$ /mnt/redhat/scripts/rel-eng/utility/rhn/rhn-info --server prod --user $USER --password $PASSWORD --packages-simple --channel rhel-x86_64-hpc-node-6 | grep libipa_h | grep python libipa_hbac-python-1.11.6-30.el6.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.11.6-30.el6_6.3.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.11.6-30.el6_6.4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6_7.4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6_7.7.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6_7.8.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.5.1-66.el6.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.5.1-66.el6_2.1.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.5.1-66.el6_2.3.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.8.0-32.el6.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-129.el6.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-129.el6_5.4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.10.el6_4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.11.el6_4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.4.el6_4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.7.el6_4.x86_64.rpm libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.el6.x86_64.rpm python-libipa_hbac-1.13.3-22.el6.x86_64.rpm python-libipa_hbac-1.13.3-22.el6_8.4.x86_64.rpm pulp: /content/dist/rhel/computenode/6/6ComputeNode/x86_64/os/Packages/ [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.5.1-66.el6.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 04:44 45K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.5.1-66.el6_2.1.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 05:10 45K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.5.1-66.el6_2.3.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 06:27 45K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.8.0-32.el6.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 06:42 59K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.4.el6_4.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 06:30 74K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.7.el6_4.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 05:46 75K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.10.el6_4.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 05:46 75K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.11.el6_4.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 04:49 75K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-82.el6.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 05:34 74K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-129.el6.x86_64.rpm 26-May-2014 19:20 82K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.9.2-129.el6_5.4.x86_64.rpm 27-May-2014 06:15 83K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.11.6-30.el6.x86_64.rpm 03-Oct-2014 09:47 88K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.11.6-30.el6_6.3.x86_64.rpm 08-Dec-2014 07:57 89K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.11.6-30.el6_6.4.x86_64.rpm 19-Mar-2015 13:31 89K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6.x86_64.rpm 02-Jul-2015 10:22 99K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6_7.4.x86_64.rpm 10-Nov-2015 17:28 100K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6_7.7.x86_64.rpm 10-Feb-2016 08:15 100K RPM package file [ ] libipa_hbac-python-1.12.4-47.el6_7.8.x86_64.rpm 23-Mar-2016 14:08 100K RPM package file Plus seems like package has been renamed anyway based on: python-libipa_hbac-1.13.3-22.el6.x86_64.rpm python-libipa_hbac-1.13.3-22.el6_8.4.x86_64.rpm |
