Description of problem:

We have a customer RFE request for RHEV to support encrypted virtual machine disk images, especially for deployments that may move in the future to hybrid clouds.  

This BZ,

asks for RHEL to support encrypted QCOW2 images. RHEV could expand on that support by providing a system to either manage the encryption keys in its database or publish hooks to use third party key management systems. It may also make sense to support encryption for other disk image formats.  Such a capability would provide RHEV a competitive advantage over other virtualization products.
