Description of problem:

tarissue.t fails on master https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/20915/consoleFull and 3.7 https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/20915/consoleFull

I was able to hit the issue *only* on old version of tar (1.23). With 1.29 running it 100 times succeeded.  It looks like it is a tar binary issue, but I'm adding the .t to bad tests for now.

This bug is getting closed because a release has been made available that should address the reported issue. In case the problem is still not fixed with glusterfs-3.9.0, please open a new bug report.

glusterfs-3.9.0 has been announced on the Gluster mailinglists [1], packages for several distributions should become available in the near future. Keep an eye on the Gluster Users mailinglist [2] and the update infrastructure for your distribution.

Are we skipping the test because of this BZ, which appears to have been fixed?

No, this BZ added it to bad tests because of the tar version being the suspect. I have just sent https://review.gluster.org/#/c/20395/ to see if the test indeed runs successfully on the current jenkins slaves.
