Description Ravishankar N 2016-05-20 05:55:10 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1337791 +++

Description of problem:

tarissue.t fails on master https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/20915/consoleFull and 3.7 https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/20915/consoleFull

21:28:10 [04:28:10] Running tests in file ./tests/basic/afr/tarissue.t
21:28:18 tar: Removing leading `/' from member names
21:28:18 tar: /mnt/nfs/0/nfs/dir1/dir2/file1: file changed as we read it
21:28:18 tar: /mnt/nfs/0/nfs/dir1/dir2/file5: file changed as we read it
21:28:18 tar: Removing leading `/' from member names
21:28:18 ./tests/basic/afr/tarissue.t ..

I was able to hit the issue *only* on old version of tar (1.23). With 1.29 running it 100 times succeeded. It looks like it is a tar binary issue, but I'm adding the .t to bad tests for now.

This bug is getting closed because a release has been made available that should address the reported issue. In case the problem is still not fixed with glusterfs-3.8.0, please open a new bug report.

glusterfs-3.8.0 has been announced on the Gluster mailinglists [1], packages for several distributions should become available in the near future. Keep an eye on the Gluster Users mailinglist [2] and the update infrastructure for your distribution.
