it does not make sense to rename the rpm if the content still works with RHEV strings, this is not a simple change, it should go along with installer support and change in vdsm-guest channel name

Does integration plan to do this or should I move it under virt? It's by no means a 4.0 material either way.

It was Yaniv's request to open this bug as urgent.

It's only about the package name of rhevm-guest-agent - nothing more, nothing less. It assumes that the content of the package is mostly same as upstream. In the dist-git repo of rhevm-guest-agent, branch rhevm-4.0-rhel-7, I see 10 patch files, with a total of 161 added lines and 58 removed lines. Didn't check their content. If you claim that it's different enough from upstream that branding does make sense, just close current bug.

This bug does not refer to rhevm-windows-guest-tools, which is currently a downstream-only package, has no relation to upstream ovirt-wgt, and which also compiles rhevm-guest-agent for windows in order to package it, from same sources, but different build process.

ok.
I opened bug 1350334 for removing all branding
