Description of problem:
Using a Windows 8.1 client, insert USB with Auto-share on. USB is nowhere in to be found in the Client or in Virt-Viewer. In Virt-Viewer, File -> USB Device Selection -> Enable one of the USB selections (Don't click the close button) and you will see the USB Storage appears. Deselect the USB selection you made and now this USB device is able to be shared, if selected.

Unless you select a non-storage USB (This only seems to initiate scan of current USB list), you will never see the USB storage you have in the guest, automatically or manually.
