The location where hotplug expects firmware to be loaded into e.g.
Cardbus cards has changed from /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware to
/lib/firmware. Existing firmware files need to be moved into the new
directory.

I don't know if this is i386 specific or not, maybe you need to
checkback with the owner of the hotplug package.
