        msg = 0x7f88183607c0 "gmem.c:100: failed to allocate 3110575 bytes"

That's 3 gigs of RAM.

Given that the decoder in which it happened (ffmpeg's H264 decoder) isn't part of Fedora proper, please file an upstream bug at https://bugzilla.gnome.org against GStreamer if you want to carry on debugging this problem.

Possibly https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=773801 (at least ABRT was pointing me to here with one of the various traces)

No it isn't, it's 3MB. I'd say that means the memory was all already eaten up somewhere else, or the something got corrupted.

I agree it's likely to be GStreamer or ffmpeg rather than totem-video-thumbnailer though.

Comment 16 Ever Ruiz Diaz 2021-03-06 15:01:57 UTC
In my case I removed and reinstalled the package gstreamer1.i686, in this way the recurrence of the problem was solved, I am a novice, sorry if I do not provide more technical data, greetings.
