Created attachment 1209326 [details]
Text from /var/log/messages

Description of problem:
Every now and again, I will find that I can no longer launch new instances of kwrite or dolphin.

When I look in /var/log/messages, along with the usual KDE spam, there is a kernel oops, the backtrace of which mentions "nouveau" a lot.

Sometimes X will hang. Sometimes it will not.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-4.7.6-200.fc24.x86_64

Also:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation G98 [GeForce 8400 GS Rev. 2] [10de:06e4] (rev a1)

How reproducible:
I haven't managed to identify a trigger, but it seems to happen at least once a day

I see that one of the lines says:

abrt-dump-journal-oops: Reported 1 kernel oopses to Abrt

...but I don't see anything in "My Bugs" here, nor do I see anything under freedesktop.org with my name on it, though it does at least superficially resemble 93834 there.

I don't get any alerts about any errors from abrt, so perhaps it's properly being reported somewhere. I just can't figure out where or how.
