Seems odd to me that evince would have anything to do with this. Can you give step by step for "define some shortcuts to play/pause/stop" ? 1. Go to "gnome-control-center" -> Keyboard 2. Search Sound and Media 3. I've defined this shortcuts Next Track -> Scroll lock Play (or play/pause) -> Pause Then open a media player, audacious for example, load at least 2 musics, start play a music by pressing "Pause key", go to the next music by pressing "Scroll lock key" Ok, this works fine, but if I run evince this keys stops to work. do you run evince "full screen" or "presentation" mode or just normal "continuous" mode. There are old bug reports (claiming its fixed) about evince capturing the media keys and that sounds like this problem, but I can't quite reproduce the problem on f25 Normal mode, I don't know if this the same bug of that old bug, but it seems very similar, nevertheless I can reproduce the problem every time I run evince, and only evince has this problem. interestingly there are some abrt crashers where the crash is around ev_media_player_keys_grab_keys, maybe the two things are related This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '25'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 25 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. This bug is still in Fedora 26, please don't close this ticket. I have the same problem in Fedora 27. I wondered why my (default) multimedia keys sometimes do not work and, after seeing this bug, I can confirm, that running Evince in a windowed mode disables multimedia keys.
