Description Jim Gomi 2017-02-26 19:50:56 UTC
Description of problem:
For image files that are in a video format like mp4, digikam fails to produce a thumbnail. I think the reason for the problem is that digikam was packaged without LibQtAV support

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.4.0

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
open digikam and add a video file to an album

Actual results:
digikam creates a generic thumbnail (not one using images from the file), and emits error message "digikam.general: Cannot create thumbnail for /path/to/file"

Expected results:
digikam should read a frame from the video file and use it as the thumbnail

Additional info:
I think the reason for the problem is that digikam was packaged without LibQtAV support
