Thank you, it confirms that you are really hitting the same issue as bug 1443114 which is going to be fixed in RHEL 7.4 by a NetworkManager fix. |
Created attachment 1279255 [details] OS install error report Description of problem: OS installation with RHEL 7.4 Alpha ISO build fails at the beginning with "unknown error". When we start installation OS installation, the initrd image gets loaded and we get the "Welcome" screen and get option to select the language. After we select the language and click "continue" button, an error screen is displayed that states "An unknown error has occurred". This will abort the OS installation process. (refer attached screen shot). The error window allowed us to collect the logs to report the bug. The report log is attached for reference. This issue is not always reproducible. This occurs intermittently, and sometime when we reboot the server and restart the OS installation, it succeeds. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): OS: RHEL 7.4 Alpha build.
