How reproducible:

Try to burn a blu ray disc with Brasero

Actual results:

burn aborts with errors in Brasero console.

Expected results:

successful BD-R burning

Additional info:

Model number of burner: LG BE16NU50

workstation is an HP Z840 running an up to date RHEL7.3 workstation

can burn normal DVD-R media on the same system, and growisofs can write to the Blu-Ray media.

cannot blank rewriteable Blu-Ray media (BD-RE). (Windows can do it using the same external drive.) Brasero reports "Error while blanking. Unknown error." There is no option to save a log in this case. There are no messages in /var/log/messages
