Seems to be caused by jack detection. Switching the front panel connection from HD Audio to AC'97 to disable jack detection works around the problem.

I do not use any audio devices. I have no audio devices connected to the audio outputs. I do not use audio at this machine at all, but pulseaudio aborts regularly.

@Lukasz Dorau: Can you try updating to Fedora 27 and see if it is fixed? Also I think these are enough reports for now.

I cannot update to Fedora 27 now.
I decided to disable pulseaudio at all - it is too annoying.
