Description javiertury 2017-07-28 15:34:17 UTC
Description of problem:

Pulseaudio crashes. In this case it crashed while using ring.cx. Additionally abrt couldnt submit a report. It uploaded something to retrace.fedoraproject.org and I was instructed to open a bugzilla issue.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

pulseaudio.x86_64                      10.0-4.fc26
kernel.x86_64                          4.11.11-300.fc26

How reproducible:

Do a videocall in ring.cx on an acer 5750g laptop (Sandybridge)

Additional info:

In the logs I found a line that I think maybe useful,
[alsa-sink-ALC269VB Analog] sink-input.c: Assertion '!i->thread_info.attached' failed at pulsecore/sink-input.c:2329, function pa_sink_input_attach(). Aborting.

More over, during normal functioning I can only get background noise from the mic.

I think this is a dup of bug #1472285 , and there's a patched build currently in -testing I encourage you to try
