Bug 1458501 makes host LLDP data available to Engine and its API. This RFE is about exposing the information in the SetupHostNetwork dialog for a human user to see.

It would make it easier for a user to decided to which interface should she or he attach a network.

When the SetupHostNetwork dialog is opened, Engine can pull LLDP data from the host and present it in a tooltip of each interface (but I am open to any other visual suggestion).

Now we present per-interface LLDP data in SetupHostNetwork dialog in a tooltip when hovering on top of the interface with the mouse cursor.
The tooltip currently present:
1) System name/switch name
2) Port description
3) Port VLAN ID
4) And will also add check if this protocol is enabled on interface and if not enabled, will display - "LLDP information is disabled on this interface" message once the missing patch is merged. 

Verified on - 4.2.0-0.0.master.20171025204923.git6f4cbc5.el7.centos

This bugzilla is included in oVirt 4.2.0 release, published on Dec 20th 2017.

Since the problem described in this bug report should be
resolved in oVirt 4.2.0 release, published on Dec 20th 2017, it has been closed with a resolution of CURRENT RELEASE.
