Bug 1458501 makes host LLDP data available to Engine and its API. This RFE is about exposing the information in the SetupHostNetwork dialog for a human user to see. It would make it easier for a user to decided to which interface should she or he attach a network. When the SetupHostNetwork dialog is opened, Engine can pull LLDP data from the host and present it in a tooltip of each interface (but I am open to any other visual suggestion).
There will be one more patch to it. Moving to MODIFIED until then.
Now we present per-interface LLDP data in SetupHostNetwork dialog in a tooltip when hovering on top of the interface with the mouse cursor. The tooltip currently present: 1) System name/switch name 2) Port description 3) Port VLAN ID 4) And will also add check if this protocol is enabled on interface and if not enabled, will display - "LLDP information is disabled on this interface" message once the missing patch is merged. Verified on - 4.2.0-0.0.master.20171025204923.git6f4cbc5.el7.centos
