Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/16016/ I attempted to update opam to 2.0; it failed because of this change in ocaml-re 1.7.2:
> Deprecate all Re_* modules. Re_x is now available as Re.X
It looks like the latest opam release wants to refer to things by Re.X, which aren't available in 1.7.3.
Would it be possible to update this in Rawhide?

I got a request to update opam to 2.0.1 in stable branches (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1643738), which will require newer ocaml-re in F29 too.
