I can confirm this.

I removed remmina-1.2.0-0.48.20180314.git.04e4a99.fc27.x86_64 and then reinstalled remmina-1.2.0-0.42.20170908git205df66.fc27.x86_64. Once this is done I am able to search for remmina and pin the desktop application.

The issue might be in the generated .desktop files.

I've updated to remmina-1.2.0-0.49.20180319.git.5f3cc40.fc27.x86_64 from testing and now I get the icon working as expected. But I'm also getting another remmina icon in the application list called 

Remmina Remote File

which I guess is generated by

/usr/share/applications/remmina-file.desktop

and clicking on it nothing happens.

Adding NoDisplay=true as per https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1553098 solved the issue, but the parameter is missing in the build on updates-testing
