Bug 1577853

Doc Text:
The docker healthcheck for OpenDaylight ensured only that the REST interface and neutron NB component was healthy in OpenDaylight. The healthcheck did not include all loaded OpenDaylight components and therefore was not accurate. Use diagstatus URI with docker healthcheck to check all of the loaded OpenDaylight components. OpenDaylight docker container health status is now more accurate.

Description Michael Vorburger 2018-05-14 09:41:08 UTC
This issue is to do the TripleO part of the bug 1566080 story (that bug is the ODL paret).

Comment 3 Michael Vorburger 2018-05-23 09:14:43 UTC
Because in an internal documentation draft there was some doubt if this new /diagstatus URL needs any additional Karaf features to be installed, I've just done a quick test, and locally built a current netvirt/karaf from today's master (future Fluorine), and can hereby confirm that http://localhost:8181/diagstatus/ *IS* available after "feature:install odl-netvirt-openstack" (by indirect transitive feature dependency), without requiring odl-infrautils-diagstatus to be explicitly installed anywhere.

Comment 4 Tim Rozet 2018-06-28 21:23:30 UTC
Should we also modify our southbound checks (in OpenDaylightOvs service) for netvirt:1 to also use diagstatus? Is it more accurate?

I'm not familiar enough with the exact role of the southbound checks (in OpenDaylightOvs service), but I can state that querying diagstatus is certainly much more accurate than netvirt:1.
