Description Colin Charles 2005-05-17 09:15:42 UTC
This is very much similar to bug #146357. system-config-soundcard-1.2.11-2 is
the package in question.

[root@mini ~]# kudzu -p -c AUDIO
-
class: AUDIO
bus: MACIO
detached: 0
driver: snd-powermac
desc: "Apple Computer Inc.|PowerMac Sound"

The device does emit sound, its well detected by alsa, so something like: aplay
/usr/lib/openoffice.org1.9.100/share/gallery/sounds/drama.wav will actually emit
sound. However, the powermac toonie isn't detected by s-c-soundcard (gives error
that there are no soundcards detected). In fact, if anyone looks at the gnome
volume control, another bug is just waiting to be opened for that too ;-)

It's probing just BUS_PCI... we should at least add BUS_MACIO if not BUS_UNSPEC

Fixed for 1.2.11-5
