Could you please open an upstream bug for this?

Comment 3 joel 2018-05-25 18:45:00 UTC
Customer would like a way to remove this output:

samba-client-4.7.1-6.el7.x86_64::
 # /usr/bin/smbclient -m SMB2 //example.com/Epic_Test -A /home/root/bin/.smbclient_pwim
Try "help" to get a list of possible commands.
smb: \>

The connection is successful, but existing scripts see the output as an error.

Comment 4 Andreas Schneider 2018-06-21 15:47:38 UTC
FYI: We are working on a fix.

Comment 6 Andreas Schneider 2018-07-04 11:44:02 UTC
We have patch for smbclient which adds an --quiet option to silence the output.

Comment 10 Andrej Dzilský 2018-07-23 10:43:43 UTC
Works as intended. Verified.
