The feature page[1] for the Backup Storage Domain feature states, "A backup domain cannot be elected as the master domain."

However, while testing and documenting this in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=154885044 I was able to select my master storage domain and set it as a backup. See screenshot.

This behavior seems incorrect.

It's the other way around, please enable failing over to back mode storage domain.
No good reason to block this.

Comment 3 Sandro Bonazzola 2019-01-28 09:44:30 UTC
This bug has not been marked as blocker for oVirt 4.3.0.
Since we are releasing it tomorrow, January 29th, this bug has been re-targeted to 4.3.1.

So it seems like the system works as expected and a master storage domain can be also a 'backup' domain.
