Hey Harpreet, is this even possible today via the UI? Harpreet verified that you can in fact tag these suckers so I think both requirements stipulated by https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq/blob/44a5b78b61c42b38a72832363dce65849a780eb9/lib/rbac/filterer.rb#L5 have been met and we could get that PR in comment 2 merged. Appliance version 5.11.0.11. I'm able to tag Switch as well as items in Port Group. In order for an user to see the tagged items, the respective Provider and Cluster have to be tagged as well. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
