Description Bastien Nocera 2005-07-22 13:30:46 UTC
Upstream bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134831

gnome-system-monitor can't display NPTL threads when the "Show Threads" option
is on in the preferences.

How to reproduce (example):

1) start xmms with NPTL (e.g. xmms in an xterm should suffice)
2) confirm the presence of threads with "ps awuxm | grep xmms"
3) start gnome-system-monitor, enable threads and no threads are shown for xmms

4) now close xmms and start it with LinuxThreads (e.g. "LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
xmms" in an xterm)
5) gnome-system-monitor correctly displays threads

One idea was to completely remove the "Show threads" option from
gnome-system-monitor.

Comment 1 Søren Sandmann Pedersen 2006-01-10 22:30:06 UTC
Upstream has now removed thread support completely in HEAD, so we can add a
patch to do the same.
