Seeing this too. I reckon biber needs an update, and that should hopefully fix it. Increasing severity, since currently, biber will not work with biblatex. $ rpm -q biber biber-2.7-3.fc29.noarch $ rpm -qa \*biblatex\* texlive-biblatex-nature-svn43382-20.fc29.noarch texlive-biblatex-svn46851-20.fc29.noarch I received the same error on F29. I use as workaround this package: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/texlive/2017/9.fc29/noarch/texlive-biblatex-svn42680-9.fc29.noarch.rpm Source: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1081986 biber-2.11-1.fc29 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 29. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-129b020cb7 Please test and send karma for F29 biber-2.11-1.fc29 has been pushed to the Fedora 29 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates.
