Description Nilesh 2018-11-06 11:42:55 UTC
We think RHOSP13 already support this functionality.

[RFE][glance] Cinder backend for Glance: Support download from and upload to Cinder volumes
  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1293435

For public images, cinder should have dedicated tenant for glance.

  - cinder_store_project_name
  - cinder_store_user_name
  - cinder_store_password

But currently there is no way in director to specify a tenant which is used in cinder for storing images.

We know Red Hat only support the environment deployed by Director from RHOSP13.
So could you please provide the way to use cinder as a backend of glance?

Comment 1 Cyril Roelandt 2018-11-08 13:38:56 UTC
So, I'm moving this to tripleo-heat-templates. I think this is also more of a Cinder thing than a Glance thing. Alan, what do you think?

Comment 2 Alan Bishop 2018-11-08 13:53:02 UTC
@Cyril, I agree, and this would be something for Pranali.

Comment 3 Keigo Noha 2019-02-07 01:30:58 UTC
Hi Pranali,

Upstream merged two patches into master branch.
Would you please backport them into RHOSP13?

Regards,
Keigo Noha

Comment 4 Pranali Deore 2019-02-07 05:12:12 UTC
Keigo,

I've backported those patches in rocky upstream & one of them is already been merged,
so we need to wait for all rocky patches to get merged first before backporting to OSP13.

Comment 5 Keigo Noha 2019-03-05 09:16:42 UTC
Hi Pranali,

All stable/queens gerrits were merged status. Would you please proceed the backport to RHOSP13?

Regards,
Keigo Noha

Would you please backport all fixes in stable/queens branch into RHOSP13 tree?

Best,
Keigo Noha

Hi Pranali,

Do you have any updates on this bugzilla?
All stable/queens gerrits were merged status. Could you proceed a backport process for RHOSP13?

Best,
Keigo Noha
