Reverting to public bugzilla (undoing Larry Troan's "Dell ESG" box checks). The e1000 driver update has just been committed to the RHEL3 U7 patch pool this evening (in kernel version 2.4.21-37.7.EL). Bug report changed to ON_QA status by Errata System. A QE request has been submitted for advisory RHSA-2006:144-02. http://porkchop.redhat.com/errata/showrequest.cgi?advisory=3336 Bug is public. Reverting to assigned state, since it has been discovered that this bug is not yet resolved in the 1st respin of the U7 beta candidate (-39.EL). I have tested the following 2 NICs on RHEL3 and RHEL4 kernel from http://people.redhat.com/linville/kernels/{rhel3-rhel4} kernel-smp-2.4.21-39.EL.jwltest.82.i686.rpm kernel-smp-2.6.9-30.EL.jwltest.107.i686.rpm PRO/1000PT (82572EI) Future --> PASS PRO/1000PT-DP (82571EB) Future --> PASS A fix for this problem has just been committed to the RHEL3 U7 patch pool this evening (in kernel version 2.4.21-40.EL). e1000 driver in kernel-smp-2.4.21-39.EL.jwltest.82.i686.rpm was tested against a variety of legacy and currently shipping Intel NICs/LOMs. All tests have passed. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
