Description Alex Deucher 2019-01-03 20:44:50 UTC
Description of problem:
The udev rules for kfd should match other drm rules. Currently the user has to manually adjust the permissions to use the kfd.

How reproducible:
Try to access the kfd device node (/dev/kfd).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the kfd device node

Actual results:
Permission denied.

Expected results:
Permission allowed if user is in the video group.

Additional info:
Please add the following do the default udev configuration:

SUBSYSTEM=="kfd", KERNEL=="kfd", TAG+="uaccess", GROUP="video"

Comment 2 Jan Synacek 2019-01-18 10:09:01 UTC
There is already

/usr/lib/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules:SUBSYSTEM=="kfd", GROUP="render", MODE="0666"

in the rules.
