Currently, ngspice produces a huge amount of status information, largely consisting of % complete and backspaces, which makes it very hard to use the library. There has been a discussion here: https://forum.kicad.info/t/trying-to-get-ngspice-working-on-fedora/14628 The recommendation from one of the upstream ngspice developers is to remove the --enable-ndev flag, which he describes as an "outdated or risky configure flag". Please remove the flag, which should remove the unwanted status information. I am now rebuilding ngspice with offending configure opts removed. ngspice-30-2.fc29 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 29. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-b71d912484 ngspice-30-2.fc28 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 28. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-f10cc54645 ngspice-30-2.fc28 has been pushed to the Fedora 28 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates.
