Currently, ngspice produces a huge amount of status information, largely consisting of % complete and backspaces, which makes it very hard to use the library. There has been a discussion here: https://forum.kicad.info/t/trying-to-get-ngspice-working-on-fedora/14628 The recommendation from one of the upstream ngspice developers is to remove the --enable-ndev flag, which he describes as an "outdated or risky configure flag". Please remove the flag, which should remove the unwanted status information.
I am now rebuilding ngspice with offending configure opts removed.
