Description of problem:
I use nagstamon (last version not the version shipped with Fedora), and if I lock my desktop and then unlock the icon disappears, nagstatmon is still running, I can see it with ps, but the icon only returns if I kill and run again nagstamon, even alt-r (restarting gnome-shell) doesn't solves the problem.

1. Install nagstamon
2. Lock and unlock desktop

Actual results:
Icon of nagstamon disappears

Hmm, you're right. The status icons disappear for me too, when using KeePassXC and Telegram.

Upstream development has slowed down, as the project lead apparently doesn't actually use his own extension anymore. But, I've filed a bug report anyway. Hopefully Phocean will find an easy fix, or else someone will be willing to take over the project.

Or, you might have better luck with AppIndicator instead. I haven't tried it yet, but it's what some commenters in TopIcons Plus issues recommend.

The problem with appindicator is applications must support it, and nagstamon doesn't support it.

Looks like there was another older ticket for basically this same issue, so I'll close this one in favor of the older ticket.
