Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-shell-extension-topicons-plus-22-1.fc30.20190422.76759a5.noarch How reproducible: Every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install nagstamon 2. Lock and unlock desktop 3. Actual results: Icon of nagstamon disappears Expected results: Icon doesn't disappears Additional info:
Hmm, you're right. The status icons disappear for me too, when using KeePassXC and Telegram. Upstream development has slowed down, as the project lead apparently doesn't actually use his own extension anymore. But, I've filed a bug report anyway. Hopefully Phocean will find an easy fix, or else someone will be willing to take over the project. https://github.com/phocean/TopIcons-plus/issues/126
Or, you might have better luck with AppIndicator instead. I haven't tried it yet, but it's what some commenters in TopIcons Plus issues recommend. https://github.com/ubuntu/gnome-shell-extension-appindicator
The problem with appindicator is applications must support it, and nagstamon doesn't support it.
Looks like there was another older ticket for basically this same issue, so I'll close this one in favor of the older ticket. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1714033 ***
