On my new Shuttle SD11G5, video controller is not detected during installation and setup falls back to text mode. The video controller is i915gm (Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator 900, DVMT).

From initial tests on FC4 - X works nicely with the i810 driver.

As soon as i get to the box, i'll send you lspci output.

If you manually configure it to use the i810 driver, does it work?

Comment 3 Thomas M Steenholdt 2005-11-08 19:13:10 UTC
In the latest rawhide version of xorg, it does not! I believe i saw somewhere
that i915 support will be in 6.8.3 and so it may make sense. However it DID work
at one point. I believe it was an FC4(updates/updates-testing) of xorg.
