Description Miro Hrončok 2019-07-08 23:44:01 UTC
python-pykalman fails to build with Python 3.8.0b2.

Could not import extension sphinx.ext.pngmath (exception: No module named 'sphinx.ext.pngmath')

This is not related to Python 3.8, but blocks the Python 3.8 rebuild.

For the build logs, see:
https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/@python/python3.8/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/00965029-python-pykalman/

For all our attempts to build python-pykalman with Python 3.8, see:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/python/python3.8/package/python-pykalman/

Testing and mass rebuild of packages is happening in copr. You can follow these instructions to test locally in mock if your package builds with Python 3.8:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/python/python3.8/

Let us know here if you have any questions.

So this is a simple enough error to fix. pngmath is now imgmath.

However, pykalman has not seen a commit in the last few years and seems abandoned so I may drop the package altogether.

I've asked the maintainer here if they can look to pass on their responsibilities. If not, I'll orphan this:
