Description Chetan Nagarkar 2019-08-12 22:55:55 UTC
Description of problem:

As BZ https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1111783 closed with comment "Windows clustering is supported for directly attached LUNs and shared disks."

This seems to be working with win-8 and win-2012 guests.

We need to provide SCSI reservation support for virtio-scsi via rhev-guest-tools for Windows 2016 and Windows 2019 guests too.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHV 4.3.0

Comment 1 Ryan Barry 2019-08-13 01:39:07 UTC
To be clear, the reservation flag is already set. If virtio-scsi is installed, does this work?

Comment 2 Michal Skrivanek 2019-08-13 04:37:49 UTC
Setup needs to be carefully reviewd, there are many pitfalls on Windows side. Other than that, this should be TestOnly really - or closed since the original bug is supposedly covering all supported Windows versions

This request is not currently committed to 4.4.z, moving it to 4.5

Comment 13 Michal Skrivanek 2020-07-14 12:28:41 UTC
There doesn't seem to be any evidence it doesn't work and the attached logs and comments do not really give a clear picture that anything's actually wrong.
If there are more cases/different data please reopen this bug
