Description Breno 2019-09-17 16:01:37 UTC
Hi,

I would like to ask a build of elixir for EPEL 8.

Would you mind requesting the branches and build them?
I may be wrong, but it seems that if you fork it from src.fedoraproject.org it will be built right away, no issues.

Thank you very much.

Actually, I could not build it.
I had issues with erlang-rebar, which is filed here [1].

Hi,

I expect to have quite a few erlang dependencies (for rebar3) to ship as well. I will try to take a look next week but cannot promise anything (it might take more time).

Closing this request. Elixir cannot be built for EPEL 8 because there is no Erlang/OTP distribution available there, and the rebar2/rebar3 bootstrapping effort discussed in BZ#1749520 was never completed.

For EL9 and EL10, Elixir is available as part of the full RabbitMQ stack via the CentOS Messaging SIG:

dnf install centos-release-messaging

Users on EL8 should consider upgrading to EL9.
