Description of problem:

Mouse cursor becomes invisible when over top bar (Activities, etc.) or in "overview" mode (super key). It is possible to click, but not to see where the cursor is.

How reproducible:

Not sure.


Actual results:

Mouse cursor disappears.

Mouse cursor does not disappear.

Also happens using Fedora 29, for about one or two weeks.

It seems to be related to cpu/IO load. I can somewhat consistently make the mouse pointer disappear by launching gnome-software or thumbnailing many files with nautilus. I believe it recovers when the cursor changes.
