No news about this bug? I can't connect to Internet since I updated to Fedora 31. Does anybody have the same problem? The same problem in a fresh install of Fedora 31 in a virtual machine. See screenshots attached. Please help. Created attachment 1642760 [details]
No internet connection in virtual machine

Ok in physical machine with old kernel
As it is explained at https://ask.fedoraproject.org/t/no-internet-connection-after-upgrading-to-fedora-31/4499, changing to a manual IP assignment solves the issue. Nonetheless, it's a bug because it requires now the user intervention in something that was automatic before. Kind regards! I already have a manual IP but I still have this problem. I've looked in nm-connection-editor but everything looks ok there. If I instead go in via Settings/Network I only have the possibility to setup VPN (which I don't have). The cable connection is not visible there at all. systemctl status NetworkManager.server looked like it found the interfaces and didn't report any problems. What to do? I don't have the possibility to attach logs or screenshots since I have no means of transfering them from the computer as it is. (In reply to Ted Lyngmo from comment #11) > > systemctl status NetworkManager.server > looked like it found the interfaces and didn't report any problems. That wasn't true. I just didn't see all the text because it was cropped. There was an error at the end: "Connection 'Wired connection 1' is not available on device eno1 because device is strictly unmanaged" *********** MASS BUG UPDATE ************** We apologize for the inconvenience. There are a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 31 kernel bugs. Fedora 31 has now been rebased to 5.5.7-200.fc31. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel. If you have moved on to Fedora 32, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 32. If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those. Thanks! I got it working but I'm not sure how. I did nmcli device set eno1 managed and a lot of random similar commands that didn't have any impact - even though I did systemctl restart NetworkManager.service. I then rebooted with the fc30 kernel I was running before the upgrade and it worked just as before and eno1 showed up as managed. I then rebooted fc31 again and it started working. I've also upgraded to the kernel that arrived Today (5.5.7-200.fc31.x86_64) and it still works :) Thanks for letting us know. Hi again. Sorry but I can't provide more info because, as I mention in my help request at https://ask.fedoraproject.org/t/no-internet-connection-after-upgrading-to-fedora-31/4499, once the IP is set manually and the computer rebooted, the issue is fixed.
