Use the following template to for the 'fedpkg update' request to submit an update for this issue as it contains the top-level parent bug(s) as well as this tracking bug. This will ensure that all associated bugs get updated when new packages are pushed to stable. ===== # bugfix, security, enhancement, newpackage (required) type=security # low, medium, high, urgent (required) severity=medium # testing, stable request=testing # Bug numbers: 1234,9876 bugs=1778231,1778233 # Description of your update notes=Security fix for [PUT CVEs HERE] # Enable request automation based on the stable/unstable karma thresholds autokarma=True stable_karma=3 unstable_karma=-3 # Automatically close bugs when this marked as stable close_bugs=True # Suggest that users restart after update suggest_reboot=False ====== Additionally, you may opt to use the bodhi web interface to submit updates: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/new This issue was fixed upstream prior to the release of proftpd 1.3.6 and hence does not affect proftpd 1.3.6b in epel-8 playground. Nor does it affect proftpd 1.3.3g in epel-6, which has a older version of the TLS code not affected by this bug, which was introduced when support for OpenSSL 1.1 APIs was backported from upstream's master branch to the 1.3.5 branch. Version 1.3.3 had already reached EOL from upstream's point of view by that point so the bug never reached that branch. FEDORA-EPEL-2019-72ead04703 has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 7. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2019-72ead04703 proftpd-1.3.5e-8.el7 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 7 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates.
