We are facing this bug and it coincides 100% with the loss of terminal/xterm windows initiated in Gnome Desktop. The common theme seems to be it only hits AD accounts that we are using via SSSD. This does not seem to be affecting local IDs defined in /etc/passwd. This appears to be some form of time based event as it will kill all windows that are opened at the same time. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
